Dye Ink Pads

Whiskey Creek Stamps are highly detailed with fine lines, just like the etchings they are created from. The best way to stamp with these images is to use dye inks on coated paper. That doesn't mean you have to use the highly glossy paper, just a paper which is coated so the ink does not bleed into the paper, causing the fine lines to fade together.

As with all stamps, each one stamps differently with different paper and different stamp pads. In fact, even different colors of the same kind of stamp pad can give you different results. Of all the kinds of stamp pads I have tried with my stamps, I prefer the images I get with Printworks pads and Adirondack pads. The muted colors of the Adirondack pads are particularly nice with vintage images. For brighter colors, try the Printworks pads. Both brands have been around a long time. Nothing flashy or new here. Just good old reliable performance time and time again.

I have provided color cards of Printworks and Adirondacks. Please note that the colors are not going to be exactly as you see them because of variations in the shades and intensities you will find with a computer screen. You will find the colors close enough to the actual pads that you can at least decide if you want to add that color to your collection!

I am out of the Adirondack stamp pads and reinkers, and will not be reording. You may order Adirondacks from Rena Rustad, The Prairie Stamper. She has the five new colors and the new Adirondack pens as well.
